Mauritius business setup has attracted foreign investors and business for many decades. The Republic of Mauritius is an island in the eastern part of Africa. I. CORPORATE REGISTRATION TYPE
There are two major types for company registration in Mauritius:
(1) GBC1 company, which is established in Mauritius but engaged in business outside Mauritius;
(2) GBC2 company, which may carry out any business outside of Mauritius in addition to financial services (including banking, control and management of joint investment schemes), corporate services, and custody services.
II. COMPANY REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Registered capital: no minimum capital requirements, except for specific business. Company registration fee is one-time.
2. Company name: company name can not use the words which the government expressly can not appear, and the name can not have words related to government departments.
3. Company member: (GBC 1) at least 2 local directors, at least one shareholder (may be a shareholder of the company), with a local secretary, and must accept a management company management. (GBC 2)There may be at least one nonresident director (the directors of the company) , at least one shareholder (the shareholder of the company) can also choose whether or not to set up a company secretary.
4. Registered address: According to the registration requirements of Mauritius, the registered company needs to provide a practical address for the company registration.The address can be a commercial address, or a residential one. Tannet can provide address for clients to register.
5. Registration time and registration fee: for all company information required for processing are collected, the processing time is 15 days or so.
6. Processing steps: Inquiry and reservation of the company name - Provide relevant information about customer - directors, shareholders and ultimate beneficiaries fill in and sign the Personal Information Form and Company Registration Form - After confirming the documents, Compliance manager mail the original or certified copy - Submit to the Companies Registry and the Financial Services Committee after receiving - After the success of the company registration, the relevant authorities will issue a company registration certificate and a global business license - Open a bank account - Apply for tax resident certificate from the tax office in Mauritius.
III. BANK ACCOUNT OPENING IN MAURITIUS
