For a Normal Malaysia Trademark Registration
procedure will be take about 1 and the half years or 2 years to complete the
registration.
Step 1. Trademark Search
Before filing your trademark, it is
important that you evaluate possible obstacles that may arise during the
registration process. A Trademark Study will not only list similar
trademarks that may conflict with yours, but also give you an opinion about
registration possibilities. It is optional but highly recommended.
Step 2. Trademark Application

formalities are checked by Malaysia Trade Mark registry.
Step 3. Trademark Examination
If there is any ground for objection,
applicant will be notified. Otherwise, applicant will receive acceptance letter
for advertising of mark. (If face object, will be need to response whether
would like to go for trademark appeal.)
Step 4. Trademark Advertisement
in the Government Trademark Gazette
The mark will be advertised on Trademark Gazette.
Any third-party opposition should be filed within 2 months of the mark being
advertised.
Step 5. Trademark Certificate of Registration
If no opposition is filed after the expiration
of the opposition period, the Certificate of Registration will be issued.
The registered trademark is valid for 10 years from the filing date /
priority date (if applicable); and is renewable every 10 years.
