Trademark Renewal can be renewed for subsequent three year periods, but a
request for renewal must be filed within six months before the current term
expires. The Myanmar trademark is registered for 3 years, from the filing date.

Myanmar Trademark Renewal is not compulsory to renew a registered trademark in Myanmar. Once it is
registered, the registration is valid, indefinitely. In spite of the fact that
there is no legislation for renewal, to renew a trademark registration is
recommended since there may be some changes of name, ownership, address, goods
etc.
In
case of litigation at a Court, the earliest registration date is important to
decide the ownership of the mark. However, renewal of registered trademark is
also recommended.
There
is no limit to renew a trademark, indefinitely. In Myanmar, it is an
established practice to renew a trademark every three or four years. The owner
of the mark should keep the renewed trademarks for evidence. When facing a
civil or criminal case at a Court, they have a strong evidential value as proof.
