Oman is
the second largest country in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations and is
treated as a gateway to Gulf. It is bordered by UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and

can also be acquired by sufficient public recognition.

Logo Registration Requirements
An Oman
logo application has to be filed before the Registrar at the Logo Office in the
Ministry of Commerce. A power of attorney authenticated by an Oman consulate is
necessary. Foreign applicants do not need a domestic registration. In lieu of a
domestic registration a certified copy of the extract from the commercial register
of the applicant is needed. If any priority is claimed, the supporting
documents to be submitted to Ministry within 30 days.

A power of attorney duly legalized up to the Consulate of Oman or
certified by Apostille.

A simple copy of the certificate of incorporation of the applicant
company, an extract of its entry in the commercial register or a good standing
certificate including all relevant information.

Logo in Jpeg format.
·
A list of the goods and services to be covered by the application.
·
If priority is claimed, a certified copy of the priority document
should be submitted to the logo office in Oman within three months of filing
the application.

Logo Registration Procedure
The
Oman logo application process includes a formal examination, an examination of
distinctiveness and a search for prior logos. It takes approximately 200
working days from first filing to registration for a straight forward case.
Before registration, the Oman logo application is published in the Gazette and in a
local newspaper. The national opposition period is 90 days from the date of the
publication in the Official Gazette.

logo registration in Oman is valid for 10 years starts with registration
date. The registration is renewable for periods of 10 years.
